I'm interested in learning the details of two aerial victory credits for Lt. Lothrop F. Ellis of the 49th Fighter Squadron, 14th FG. The first took place on August 2nd, 1943 at 15:40 over Cagliara, Sardinia and was a Bf109 I believe. The second was on July 10th, 1943 at 10:15 near Campobello, Sicily. Also a Bf109.

Can anyone tell me more about the LW pilots, planes or units? Any information about Lt. Ellis and his aircraft - s/n, unit markings and name if any - would be appreciated as well.
