Some of you may have looked at my recent posts in the Luftwaffe Forum.
I am desperatley trying to trace the incident of Sgt Bann being shot down in July 1940 by I assume, a Luftwaffe gunner, see his letter on page 352 Battle of Britain Then and Now.
With the superb help of Chris Goss i have now managed to narrow it down to one of the possible aircraft below. I had thought the incident was on the 21st July but this looks to be wrong and could have been early in July.

Can anyone put a name to any of the below Hurricanes next to its lost date? I note from a 238 ORB that Sgt Bann flew P2948 on several occasions...was this his chosen aircraft? the 18th is close to my assumed date of the 21st..
