Sgt S.F.Cooper of No 253 Squadron was not injured when he crashed his Hurricane I (P2631) on the 30th of August 1940 at 17:20hrs near to Biddenden.

P 3869 Hawker Hawker Aircraft Limited, Kingston, Brooklands, and Hurricane Mk. I With No. 1 (F) Squadron RCAF. Force landing at Biddenden on 26 August 1940, exact circumstances unknown, repairable. Abandoned over Gravesend after combat with Bf109, at 09:20 on 31 August 1940. Pilot bailed out.
