Looking at the picture of "Black 1" it seems reasonable that it at least had seen service for quite some time considering that it bore traces of the old markings - the yellow V and tailband - that was replaced during the spring of 1945 (I can never remember the exact time!). That doesn't prove much but it certainly is in line with Düttmanns recollections...
