as from what i read jap pilots put all there confirms in a diary, not a log book.
they shot at so many USA planes!! it was very hard to confirm" them.
only by other pilots with them.
im one too for jap pilots i read aircraft of the aces and other books too.
best if you can check the loss records of all p38s if theres any books or logs.to there fate>
