www.armyairforces.com in Jan/Feb 2004 suggests that B-24 42-99762 "American Maid" of 98th BG, 343rd BS went down over Bacakovaci (Sopron/Gyor area?) on 26-6-1944.

In order to help find any "missing" crashes over Hungary that day, it would be nice to know what crashes were so far positively identified by you so we can eliminate those.
Also what towns the police reports originate from.
