Re: He115 shot down 28/5/40 Norway

The aircraft lost on 28.05.1940 was He 115C W.Nr. 2763 (St.Kz. DC+GN) of Kü.Fl.Staffel 2./506. It was shot down in combat with three Sea-Gladiators of No. 802 Sq. Fleet Air Arm while shadowing the carrier HMS "Glorious" off the coast of northern Norway in pos. 66 degrees 32 mins. North and 02 degrees 50 mins. east. The crew of three were all reported missing. Lt.z.See Hans Joachim Urban (B), Fw. Fritz Stahl (F) and Obgefr. Franz Fohmann (Bf). I do not know the individual letter used on this aircraft, but the unit code of 2./506 was S4+ with Staffel letter K.
