Re: RAF-bomber crashes_vicinity of Oschersleben,Germany

Thank you very much!
Your message is in accordance with eyewitness reports.
-The "January'44" bomber (Halifax LK 912, MP-N) was found completely
destroyed in the fields, approximately 1,5km NW of Hordorf.
Pieces were scattered in a large area.
-The "January'45" bomber (Halifax MZ 927, NP-Y) came down in the
immediate vicinity north of Hordorf in greater segments.
3 airmen in blue-gray uniforms were taken prisoners.
2 of them came into Hordorf the late evening on 16 Jan '45, the third
surrendered on Hordorf's railway station the other morning.

Do you have the crew names (with POW, KIA) too for me?

In the spring this year I have visited Brugge (for the first time).
Beautiful old town!

Christmas greetings from Germany.
