No, Merricks is right, it's the same aircraft on the three pictures. But the U.S. troops mixed the tail surfaces and the wings from the 3(?) He 162 transfered to Kassel.

But Merrick is wrong indeed when he said, third time, that the aircraft is "yellow 4" when actually it is "white 4" from the first staffel as the eagle emblem on the port-side herited from KG 30 and visible on other shots (not in Merricks book) and the color photo prove it.

He 162 A-2 W.Nr 120 076 "Yellow 4" is not as well documented as He 162 A-1 W.Nr 120 067 "white 4", only few photos are known.
