Emil Lang' 147th victory
Hello Genlements!
Hope to clear 147th claim made by Emil Lang dated June 11, 1944 over Caen vicinity. Nothing to say how difficult or impossible to find correlation between pilot' claim and his prey' consequent fate. But it seems in this occasion claimed Lysander is unusual case as only several Lysanders were used by RAF in June 1944. And last Lysander loss was recorded on 3-rd May 1944. Probably it was Auster Mk.IV or smth like that (e.g. US L5), but not a single of them was lost during June 11. Nearest Auster was shot down June 13, then June 23.
Lang shot down noting as often he did, didn't he?
