Re: Any info on Gruppo Aerosiluranti 'Buscaglia' losses 1944 ?

Happy New Year to all the members of this forum.

Dear David,
regarding you questions:
on 10-3-44, during the attack conducted by six SM79 @ 22:40 along the coast of Anzio, a SM79 (B2-07) was shot down by night fighters (crew: Ten.pil. Teta Giovanni; Serg.M.pil. Poggini Alessandro; 1°av.marc. Rizzo Gino; 1° av.mot. Siolo Amilcare; Serg.arm. Nuvoli Andrea).

on 13-3-44 I am aware of only one loss: during a (solo) ferry flight from Perugia to Gorizia (for the replacement of a torpedo) a SM79 (B2-08) was shot down near the Rimini coast by enemy fighters (crew, all MIA: Ten.pil. Balzarotti Giuseppe; Serg.pil. Berni Tullio; Serg.M.marc. Buzzinelli Stanislao; 1°av.mot. Verroni Vero; M.llo elet. Bellagamba Mauro).
