Re: FW-190 ID Help

Hi,

Here are some details on FW 190 G-3 W.Nr 160 022 'DN + FV':

31.08.43: W.Nr 160 022 was assigned to 10./S.K.G. 10, after arriving from Vicenza on this day.

09.09.43: III./S.K.G. 10 reported that this aircraft was destroyed by German troops at Montecorvino airfield, Italy.

FW 190 G-3 W.Nr 160 022 'DN + FV' was found by the Allies at Montecorvino, and was reported to have been "reasonably intact".

More details about this aircraft, as well as a number of photos of it, will be found in the forthcoming book by Morten Jessen and I about the Focke-Wulf 190 in Sicily and Italy.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
