Thanks for the input.
I have the aformentioned booklet and decals.
Its just that in pawing over the last flight details, some of the eye witness
statements didn't match.

I am finding remembering things etc, tricky due to depression and arthritic drugs.

It was something I was looking into sometime ago and was in corrispondence with Sam and Joe Noah..but at the time they were busy with the new 352nd book "Blue Nose Tales". I can't remember what I've done with the stuff I put together, I can't consentrate and focus on much at the moment.

I recall that one of the eye witness accounts saying they flew over the town of Langerwehe(104th INF)?, yet there is also words on a 104th INF website saying that the mustangs were.. " flying northwest between Jülich and Düren, just west of the Roer River "..If they were flying on such a course..I don't think they would have flown over Langerwehe.
I would like to see maps used at the time to try to pinpoint the crash site according to the map references given by the AAA unit..but no mtter how much I look online, such maps are not available.( the kind of maps used by units in a given area.)

There seems to a differing of details as to the exactly what happend that day. I'm sure you carried out a detailed search for information used in the booklet...but why do some say they flew over Langerwehe..yet others from same unit say " flying northwest between Jülich and Düren, just west of the Roer River ". This sounds like they were flying along the same course as the river.
I can't say who said such, but I assume the information on the site comes from someone with contacts with 104th personnel.

I also read that the person who fired the fatal shots was quickly shipped out incase members of the 352nd turned up seeking reprisals.

Then again who cares what I think...no-one..except me.
This is really for my own self interest..not for anyone else. But anyone who has anything to say regarding anything I may be interested, im interested. I like to explore all possibilities.
