I'm not a technician nor an engineer, so I can only have guesses... maybe it was simply an issue of more availability of the newer propellers at the MTT-Regensburg, and the same could probably be applied also to the deeper Fo897 radiators.
Unless there were technical contraindications, I guess it was an advantage to be able to share such components between the G-14/AS and the K-4 on the production lines...
I repeat, only an educated guess as an explaination. The facts prove altogether that these details were applied also on the G-14/AS.
