What a minefield .

The only source for the serial numbers that I have is "Condor" and AE no 87 which I will now look into and see what is there.

As for source for JG26 that came from "The Augsburg Eagle a documemtary history of the Messerschmitt Bf109" by William Green Page 89.

"For example 15 ex-JG26 Bf109F-4s were delivered to Spain in 1942 for service with the 25 Grupo of the 23 Regimiento. The Bf109F fighters were used primarily at Alcalá de Henares for the conversion of Spanish pilots bound for Russia, and in October 1942, the Escuadron Azul,or 15.(Span)/JG51, converted from the Bf109E-7s to Bf109F-4s while operational on the Eastern Front flying these until July 1943."
