Whilst researching the losses of the RAF, the RAAF, the RCAF, the RNZAF and the SAAF in
May and June 1940 I came upon
Sergeant Bernard Poskitt (RAF 522475) who went - according to the CWGC - missing somewhere in the Mediterranean on 30/06/1940. His unit is listed as 323 Squadron.
But I doubt if
this unit existed in 1940. Can anybody help me out?
