Hallo Hans
The Bv 144 was a very low key project initiated by the company in question. The prototype was built in France, but took such long time that it was not ready until after the war had been over for almost a year.
It made in all three flights in France. The Breguet company never liked it, since they felt it had been imposed upon them and besides France were already commited building another German product, the Ju 52 - AAC.1.
Also Breguet wanted to premier their own type, the model 500
First Flight 11.3.1946 (20 minutes)
Second flight: 15.5.1946
Third flight: 27.6.1946
During the third flight the hydraulic system broke and the aeroplane was probably damaged enough to be abandoned. It was never repaired and was most probably scrapped shortly afterwards, although no exact final details about is fate is known.
Serial number has variously been stated as 01 or 1
There was also a second prototype the 02 or 2 which was abandoned at an early stage and the only seen photo shows a very incomplete fuselage.
I can assure you no CdG was onboard any of the three flights in question
Cheers
Stig
