Any known Ar196 losses in the english channel in 1941 ??
Hi,
Would it be too generally to ask, how many losses of Ar-196 were there in the english Channel in 1941 before 24.05.1941 ???
One particuarly AR-196 was shot at during a rescue operation. Feldwebel Ewerings survived but his gunner was killed by the shots from a british ship. Ewerings were later picked up by U-47 (Günther Prien) and later sent to Hospital in Germany. He never flew again. He died in 1979 in Norway.
