Hello Brian,
The commonwealth prisoners filled in a questionnaire after liberation. They can be found in the National Archive under WO344, 1 to 410 War Office: Directorate of Military Intelligence: Liberated Prisoner of War Interrogation Questionnaires. Filed under last name. I was looking for a guy named Cooper, fortunately he was the 11th in the stack! There were many with that name.
I don’t know anything about American prisoners.
