The Lincoln's upper turret didn't look any different from the Lancaster's. The recoil from two Hispano's is considerable. Not having been used in anger (Lancaster mid-upper's were also rarely used?), was the turret and it's mechanism up to long term firing? (cf the post-war auto 5.25" on Vanguard, believed not to have been up to real combat use).
