Just to pick up on the Flight part.
Four pilots first from the 14th followed by six more with Squadron aircraft from the 16th (ie two days later).
They had a bad time -
14th. P2621 F/Lt. J.L. Sullivan KIA.
17th. P2655 P/O MacQueen force landed -safe.
18th.L1665 A flt. P/O Wiens shot down - injured.
18th L1922 A flt. F/O. Chambers Shot down - Baled, POW.
18th N2320 A flt. P/O Brown Shot down - wounded.
19th. P2808 A flt. F/Lt. Miller force landed safe.
23rd. P2550 P/O Benzie Baled wounded.
23rd. P2809 F/O.Graafstra Shot down KIA.
23rd. P2730 P/O. Madore KIA.
23rd. P3392 P/O Smiley Baled, POW.
24th.P3266 P/O. Hill KIA.
24th. P3272 P/O. Mitchell KIA.
28th. N2651 P/O Deacon POW.
28th. L1746 P/O. Jones KIA.
29th. L1756 Crashed on take off Manston Pilot ?
31st. P2732 P/O. Stewart KIA.
