Dear Larry,

Slightly a bit off topic, but do you "accidentally" know the number of officers of the I./ZG 1 killed during the Polish and French campaign ?

The reason for asking this, is that the I./NJG 1 (direct successor of the I./ZG 1) officially lost 35 officers (and 118 Unteroffiziere/Mannschaften).
But so far, a reconstrucion of I./NJG 1 officers known from WASt records, revealed only 29 names. One hypothesis might be, that the number of I./ZG 1 officers killed was added to this 29 because of the close relationship between I./ZG 1 and I./NJG 1.

I would appreciate if you could shine a light on this mystery? Any help would be appreciated !
