Larry: There is also a fairly clear photo of a Bf110 tail fin on page 89 of Van Ishovens " Bf110 at war". Although the score on the tail is not identified specifically as Spies, I am convinced it is, as the tally appears to corrolate to what you describe, his 10th being Yugoslavian. Unfortunately, even under enlargement, it's hard to differentiate between French and British symbols, and no dates are noted under the specific kill markings. The 2 Polish, the Yugoslavian, and Russian markings are easily identifiable. Disregard if your familiar with this photo. Is the photo you speak of different than this? Regards Dean
