At least two - 'Nordmeer' (V1) and 'Nordwind' (V2) - served with Sonderstaffel Transozean Staffel during late 1939 and into 1940. Most of their activities during this time were as test beds to resolve numerous difficulties in converting the type to a suitable military aircraft.
