Franek said nothing about Baranski - it was me. And I admit I was wrong. He was not posted to command A Flight of No. 302 Sqn until a week after 'Jubilee'. At the time of the operation he was an Ops Room controller for No. 308 Sqn. Why he flew with No. 306 rather than 308 - I don't know.
Who was your source on "P/O Malec"? "Malec" means "Little One" or "Shorty" in Polish. Perhaps a P/O of No. 302 Sqn was nicknamed thus by his friends?
