My opinion is you are looking at Stammkennseichen BB+MD and this nothing to do with KG 54. In my file this W.Nr. is listed as W 34 he and shot down by enemy fighter in 1941 (possibly in or around Denmark) and belongning to IV/Fl.ziel.G 1 Aalborg/West - Insignia is likely of ŽLuftDienest KdoŽ (Air Courier unit) 64/II but I am not expert on shields - Great photo of very good quality. Any possiblity of close up of the W.Nr. too?
