I suspect Dark Green and Dark Earth rather than Middle Stone, as the Desert Scheme was not widely used after the end of the North African campaign. Older aircraft still in this scheme would, I'd have thought, been Mk.IIIs rather than Mk.Xs, as used in Italy.
However, 205 Group is not a subject that has been widely covered.
