If the 109 is #8240 it may be one of Oesau’s and was 40% damaged in July ’41 by him, repaired and then flown by Karl—Heinz Weber until lost by him on 3-Sep-42
Further research indicates that Oesau had 20 abs. by August 1940, so this would not likely be his rudder. Weber did not get his first until June 41 so unless the two roundels are unverified claims by Weber, this rudder may not be his, either. All this speculation is based, of course, on the supposition that the machine is 8240.
