Thanks Mike, but I guess it is not. Here is the screenshot of the NX3 drawing. It was made from a Messerschmitt factory blueprint. So, no fiction.

I know that some 16xxx series Bf 109G-6s had the same plywood panel of the G-4. So, this panel might have been designed for the G-6. The original blueprint of this panel was dated November 1942, which makes the G-6 panel hypothesis possible thinking that the first G-6s were produced in February 1943.

I have the factory blueprint of G-6 instrument panel as well, and it was dated June 1943!

About the square opening, can it be for a FuG instrument?
