Found a reference to (a) W/O Thompson as a pilot with No. 211 Squadron that flew Beaufighters and the Mosquito in SE Asia here: http://users.cyberone.com.au/clardo/...and_burma.html

It appears he got injured on 16 Feb 1944.

Service No R1076969.

Also found the name F/Sgt George Thompson on a WW II roll for greater Grimsby. He was from there?
