Re: Lt Jerome Sainlar of 339 FG
The incident is mentioned on p 460 of Roger Freeman's "Mighty 8th War Diary", confirming Sainlar was shot down by B-17 gunners near St Trond.
I believe the site was investigated about 10 years ago by a group led by Belgian wreckologist Rudi Simons from Tongeren.
I did a write-up in "Wrecksearch" magazine - will try and dig it out for you.
