Hi guys...
I stumbled over the name Gerhard Stoeckel and apparently he's my grandpa who died in 1995...
i know he got in two serious crashes during the war and I think I do remember him mentioning a take-off incident...
As I know little about his pilot activities in WWII I'd like to trace a bit his path (especially east-front) but don't know where to start...
@ Peter: what is the QMG returns? Is the 2.(H)/21 the unit? Does one have access to "Stammrollen" from specific WWII-units over inet ?

I know I'm not quite contributing to your topic with these questions, but I'm at least glad my grandpas name popped up at once somewhere ;-)
