In his book, "I flew for the Fuehrer", Heinz Knoke mentioned that the propaganda people mounted a camera on his aircraft for combat footage. In 1944 the Germans began building aircraft with a mount for a gun camera. And there is a manual on assessing gun camera film issued in 1944.
