Thanks Ed! Studying the photos I find they support the info in the above mentioned book. The port engine was obviously not operating when the aircraft emergency landed, while the starboard airscrew seems to have been turning, judging from the different damage inflicted to respective airscrew. Both Pilot and BF got away unscatched by the way. I suppose the Lancaster crew was the most happy out of the two of them after all. The observant tailgunner possibly offered a few pints by the others at the local pub after returning home
