Fw200 casualty 16 Jan 1942
Were there any Fw200 losses or casualties for 16 January 1942? I am looking at an encounter with a previously damaged troopship and her escorting destroyer in which the attacking aircraft was reported damaged by the ships’ combined AA fire. The original U-boat attack took place at 46.04N, 19.06W (KM Grid BE 5716) and the Fw attacked about three hours later, probably quite close to that position as the ship (Llangibby Castle) was badly damaged and unlikely to have made much headway.
