well, I do have an ulterior motive that you (and everyone else) should be aware of. Degelow and Rudolph Windisch (of Jasta 66) both used the white stag emblem on their Fokker DVII aircraft - this appearing in almost exactly the same form on some Ju 52s in the Crete campaign and persisting for some time afterwards. They are associated with KGrzbV 106 but this may not be a simple solution. The origin of the WW1 use was in honour of the sanatorium in Dresden at Bad Weisser Hirsch (White Hart Spa in English) where both the aces had spent some time recuperating from wounds. It would help to know why this emblem was picked up again in WW2 and the Degelow line of enquiry was one possibility.
