Nightfighter loss by collision 1 Sep 1943
Can anyone tell me about a nightfighter loss on 1 Sept 1943 by collision with an RCAF Halifax JD270? The Halifax crashed in the Wernigerode Forest, 3 kms south west of Wernigerode near the town of Hasserode. I am assuming the fighter also crashed.

I have information on the bomber. It is the nightfighter I am looking for, which apparently was a single-engine a/c.
