Hi everybody!
I'm trying to verify the following claim:
On June 28, 1944 Oberfeldwebel Franz Menzel from 10./JG.301 shot down a B-24 from the 485-th BG., 15-th AF. during a bombing raid over Bucharest. This was his 3-rd kill.
Did he fly a Me 109G-6, WkNr. 160211, "Black 3" on this day. Was he injured after (or during) the attack?
The above information was compiled from the sites below:

http://www.cieldegloire.com/jg_301.php#pertes1944.
It's maybe good to add this: 3 B-24 from the 15-th AF. crashed during the Bucharest raid on June 28, 1944 - 2 of them in Rumania and one in Bulgaria. All 3 were shot down by German pilots. (Luftwaffe claimed 13-15 bombers

- s. Tony Wood's site "Combat Claims"
http://www.lesbutler.ip3.co.uk/tony/tonywood.htm).
In all three MACR's for the bombers one can find the information that any of the shot down a/c was attacked by 4 or 6 Bf 109, firing 20 mm shells simultaneously. Is it really possible at all to define that Menzel was the one who shot down one of the 3 bombers or could this be any of the pilots in the claims list?
Best regards!
