Re: TG book???

Another title you might have been thinking of is “Geschichte einer Transportflieger-Gruppe im II. Weltkrieg.” published in 1989 by the Kameradschaft ehemaliger Transportflieger in 1989. It was compiled by Georg Schlaug. It doesn’t carry an ISBN.

It covers various episodes from the career of II./KG z.b.V. 1 and II./TG 1 but it’s not a continuous history. It has sections on Poland, Scandinavia, the Blitzkrieg in the West, the Balkans, Crete, North Africa, Stalingrad etc. It’s mostly Ju 52s but also deals with operations with the Savoia Marchetti 82. A very interesting book if you can get hold of a copy.
