Re: British made A/C with the USAAF
The 8th AF used the Spitfire PR. XI for most demanding long range photo-reconnaissance tasks (14th Photo Sqd.). The Eagle squadrons had some Hurricanes but I don't know if they had them under 8th AF. In addition there probably were large number of Moths and other British light aircraft in USAF.
