Beauvais/Nivillers airfield

Hello everyone!

This airfield in France was the second part of a "complex" of which the other part was Beauvais Tillé.
In opposition to Tillé, Nivillers never got hard-surfaced runways during the german occupation, but was connected to Tillé by a 2.5 km taxiway which still exists nowadays.

My question is: when did Nivillers become operational? Was it already in use during the battle of Britain?
At this time Tillé was only a grass field and many bomber types were using Beauvais (He-111, Do-17Z, Ju-87 for sure), so the Germans may have realized early the advantage in having a second airfield nearby to relax Tillé's usage...
If someone has insights, I would appreciate it...
