1943 Oblt., Staka 1./NJG 100 (to 01.44?).
01.05.43 in Lg.Kdo. VII area, promo to Hptm. (d.R./Fl.) (RDA 01.03.42).
17.10.43 (or 06.03.44?) Hptm., awarded DKG.
01.11.43 Hptm., awarded Ehrenpokal.
01.01.44 Hptm., appt Kdr. I./NJG 100 (to 23.02.44).
05.02.44 Hptm., awarded Ritterkreuz, Staka 1./NJG 100.
23.02.44 Maj., Kdr. I./NJG 100 MIA – shot down on a day mission in the vicinity of Mogilev by Russian partisans and captured after crash landing heavily wounded; he was never seen again.
Credited with 45 night victories.
