Ho. ho, don't panic. We are still working on it!
It seems very likeble that it was Wilkins but the time distance between a claim at 15.15-15.40 hrs and a crashlanding at 17.00 hrs is a little bit to much.
We now know from the ORB of no.4 Sqn. that after 14.10 hrs. no planes for high-alt. recces left B.70. The starting time of Wilkins is not known yet.
Several members of the Study Group Airwar 1939-1945 living in the area between Gorichem and Tilburg are now working on this case.
We will crack this nut!!!
I will let you know here at 12 O'Clock High or in our Bulletin in a story about all Me 262 crashes in the Netherlands mentioned in the literature or most probably in both places.
