Hello!
Personalities - including Luftwaffe - are my weakest point, therefore this question.
It seems (maritime?) leutnants Staffehl and Desamarie were among the kette-strength kommando from 1./KGr 506 which flew missions in Finland together with KGr 806. Their first names are not known. By me at least. Period of time is late June - early July 1941 (early phase of Barbarossa).
Together with them in the kommando served also Oberfähnrich Hegener, which was KIA in the night 27./28.6.1941 probably somewhere in Leningrad area.
Does anyone know more about the career of these officers? Especially if they were transferred to other unit (likely KGr 806) after the "Sonderkommando" period around mid to late July 1941.
If anyone has photos of Staffehl and/or Desamarie my colleague would perhaps be interested. In an earlier thread about
Ju 88 WNR 853 +(H)A
(
http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ighlight=ju+88 ) I mentioned an official photo series showing the plane in question. The Luftwaffe crew also seen in the photos is possibly either Staffehl's or Desamarie's. I do not have copy of those photos having written notes only.
Thanking in advance for possible answers,
Kari
