This were metal plate (skin) joints overlapping and thus correct, usually/often filled in with red putty (perhaps should be smoothed slightly down as less than 2-3 mm in real 1:1 size (or slightly filled in) whilst doing serious modeling?), but basically the horizontal ŽlineŽ was the joint between upper and lower half. Good photos of fuselages in construction jigs can be seen in Aero Detail No.20 ŽJu 88Ž P.70 (English + Japanese text).
