Seeking info on He111H-1 W.Nr.6801 Crashed & Burned out Belgium 5.40?
Hello,
An EOE Working Group member has recently obtained two photos of a crashed and burned out He111H-2 with the W.Nr. 6801 on the upper fin. The caption on these photos indicates that the plane crashed in Belgium, probably in May, 1940. Does anyone have any further information on this crash? The aircraft carried the a/c code of a red or black "A," thinly outlined in white, and was burned out to just beyond the wing roots. This was not B3+AS, which crashed on 10.5.40, although the condition of the wreckage appears somewhat similar.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Regards,
