A minor and insignificant point, but the card must have been printed months later because the Transportgeschwader did not come into existence until 1 May 1943. Before that they were called KG z.b.V. and KGr. z.b.V. Given his place of burial, he could have belonged to any one of a number of Kampfgruppen z.b.V. employed on the Stalingrad airlift. Hopefully, someone can find his name in the Gen.Qu.(6.Abt.)
