Re: German losses 28/29th april 1942
Bonjour.
Thanks for the 2 Brian for the answers
the Free French W/O Y. Mahe shot down effectively the Ju88 of 1/KFG106 but he has written in his Combat report: "I claim the Ju 88 destroyed and the HE111 as damaged or probaly destroyed being fully convinced that the HE 111 could not have reached home" and little before: "Both combats took place with moon behind me making definitive identification difficult, and was also surprised not to have been fired at when approaching"
The pilot was invited to the city hall of York for the facts. The newspapers had related the meeting. During the first or the second week of May the French flag was on the top of the city hall of York.
My question with many ? ? ? is for the second bomber.
Thank you again for all.
