When I first listened to it, I was a little disappointed in a way, as I can easily like many kinds of songs from that era, but this one was hard to swallow..... but hey, whilie painting one of my walls outside on the house the other day, I realized that I was suddenly whistling that song while on the top of the ladder.
Maybe it was not so bad after all, but yes it must have been a bit strange to hear that song from his tent in the desert. Very sad that he passed away like he did, but as they say : "Soldiers never dies, they only fade away".
