Norman Flight

Hi everyone,

first timer here so I am just getting used to the way these things work.
I am looking for any info on my late father NORMAN WILLIAM FLIGHT. He was a Sgt Pilot in the RAF. As the surname is Flight it becomes quite difficult to search by name as you can imagine.
He was shot down on the night of 21/22 October 1944 whilst bombing Szombathely, Hungary. He was flying a Wellington from Foggia. I have a copy of the w/op log book which shows the Wellington as being number LP501U. It would be great if anyone out had any other information that could relate to my father. Most of my fathers records (log book, photos, memorabilia) were stolen or destroyed (they tore photos in half) in a house robbery a few years ago so I don't have much left. Luckily they didn't get his medals or the diary he kept from his initial training
Thank you for you help,
Ross Flight
